I recently purchased a 25' Boston whaler from West Palm Beach, Florida. I found out the trailer it is on is not in well enough condition to trailer back to Houston. I'm looking for a Hot Shot service or something along the lines to get it back. Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Here's what you do....send me enough money for Gas and Beer and I'll drive it to Corpus Cristi. Now, I'll probably stop in the Keys for a few weeks and maybe make a few pit stops along the pan handle, a little gambling in Biloxi and a night or two in New Orleans. Now I'm going to need a first mate which I can recruit through Whaler Central. Do you mind if I wait til April? The Intracoastal Waterway is a little choppy this time of year!
I wish I had some real advice for you but I haven't had to ship anything. Seize this opportunity for an adventure I say!
If the trailer is bad and you are going to need one anyway....have you thought about having it rebuilt in Florida and going to get it or buying a new trailer and pulling it back.
Texas has a good point. Lots of good shops and several trailer manufacturer factories there.
My brother used U-Ship for getting a non-running Ford 2500 tractor/backhoe from Ohio to Maine. While the cost was reasonable, the logistics with U-Ship were really hard.
