Drain tube broken flared end

Member Personal Page Posts: 12 Comments: 0 Joined: 10/22/07	The flared end on the outside of my transom drain tube came off with my drain plug. Is there any way to fix it or do I have to replace the whole tube? I don't want to have problems with water leaking into the hull. Thanks

I purchased the new PVC tube parts from a whaler dealer. Using 3M 5200, it has been on for over 5 years. Montauk part # 1073071 for tube # 1042084 for nut.

I was having a hard time locating that length off tubing locally, so I called my local BW dealer and he suggested using the current plastic drain tube/fitting. He explained that I'd need to ream out the hole a little bigger to allow the fitting into the transom around the tube. Anyone have any experience doing that? Thanks!
