Sakonnet style Mini Console and RPS for 13 & 15 from Nautical Lumber
This morning I swung by Nautical Lumber co. to give Mike Stennett (the owner) a hand getting some things shot to use for his site and Ebay. While there, he had a finished Sakonnet Style mini Console and RPS kit finished and sitting in a 13. Like everything else he does the quality is outstanding and the kit looked great in the 13. I think it would look even better in a 15. At 5'10" I was easily able to stand behind the console as if I was piloting as well as sit comfortably in the seat as well. He has built 2 of these kits really just as show pieces but, if there is more interest he was considering offering them as products in his line up. He is also working on an idea of a Mini Sakonnet Center Console with gunwale height forward and aft thwart seats instead of the RPS.
Very interesting - Thanks for sharing Jeff. I have been thinking about a center console type conversion for my 13 or maybe a super sport interior... Now I have this option to consider as well.
