Well -- I can not justify owning 3 boats the same relative size so I sold the 17 Montauk this week. I really felt ill as I loaded her on the trailer for the last time following a test ride with the new owner. I think it will be one of those things someday I really regret.
I invited the new owner to join WC and hope he does so I can see pictures of her. His plan is to keep her for several years -- maybe I can buy her back someday.
Now I need to get my lo-pro finished so I can be cruising proud again. The Kenner I bought for parts is nice and all but just does not ride like my Whaler. I figure it is a good motivator and will get me on the ball to complete my project.
The new owner lives in the Clear Lake area -- if you see her on the water say hello for me.
It's been a while..
Take courage my friend.
It is not the end but a beginning..
for the quest to your newest boat adoption.
I have a strong hunch that you will be adopting an older but great new Whaler by Summer.
