anybody out there running a mid-90's 21' outrage with twin merc 150's? I just bought one and she screams - GPS said 54mph and she still had some more!! what kind of performance are you guys seeing? I can run her at 3000 (30 mph) and get 2.5 mpg.. not too bad for twins - motors are EFI's - OPTI's would be sweet..

Dutch,

I cannot speak for your exact setup but for reference my 25' Outrage with twin 150 Yamaha fourstrokes topped out at 52mph by GPS. With your 21' and twin 150's you should be able to run from Tiki Island to Port Aransas in about 10 minutes....including slowing down at Matagorda.

Thanks for starting this post. I'm looking at getting a pair of E-Tec 115s for my '88 Outrage 22 and think the input here is great!

i am presently repowering my 21'4" 1974 outrage with a 2009 200 hp evinrude etec, replacing a a 1996 175 hp johnson ocean runner. the boat that i have had for just over a year now is such a delight that i wanted to do it justice with a repowering, up-powering a bit, and choosing the etec 2 cycle route. new power steering and instruments should be a substantial upgrade as well. will let you know performance.

Great!
Love to hear your thoughts on the E-tech when you are done.
