the state of Mississippi requires that all boats 1972 and up have a 12 digit HIN number mine is a 1976 and only has 7 digits on the plate (160476G) there re some numbers stenciled on the inside of the spill well - what are these numbers (5A0602)
should it begin with BWG or something like that?
cant get it registered without 12 digits

BWCC1604M76G is probably your actual HIN. You will find that the 'BWCC' and the 'M' were stamped on and can fade away.
Sending your stencil number (5A0602) into Boston Whaler can get you information on when the hull was shipped out to a dealer and what the original configuration was. basically your hull was the 602nd 15 foot hull made.
