Does anyone know the control cable length for a 13? is it 10'? Also, has anyone ever converted a tiller to remote steer? Are the linkages going to be a problem? I have wheel steering on my 13, but putting a Johnson 25 hp tiller outboard on it. Have to convert it to remote throttle. Thanks, Clay

los,

If you know the length, please let all of us know here.
A PM only helps the poster and no one else.

Thanks.

Yeah I know, But it was a lenghty explination on what I had tried to do. Bottom line... a 9' cable will do. Sorry.

Thanks.

The length may also depend on the engine.
Some engines have the controls cables going into the port side of the engine and others have them going into the starboard side of the engine.

All of this makes a big difference on the length of these cables.

Most OMC motors like the Johnson 25 clay has probably has the control cables on the starboard side. However, it may be that he has one on the port side and one on the starboard side. This may or may not make a difference in the length of the cable(s)....

Thanks for letting us know and maybe you could tell us what engine you have that used the 9 foot cables?
