Was on the Boston Whaler Owners Site http://www.bostonwhalerownersclub.com/sclub.com/ and they have a photo of the day you can click on, thought I'd seen it before on here... Then it came to me - Jeff is this (you on) your Dad's Guardian?
Yes, that image was on Torch Lake in Northern Michigan during the 2007 Great Lakes Whaler Rendezvous. My father was on my 22 Outrage and I was on the Guardian. Torch Lake is regarded as one of the top 5 most beautiful lakes in the US if not North America. While it is only a matter of feet from the Grand Traverse Bay of Lake Michigan you can not get from the lake to the bay. Though the lake is 18 Miles long and 2.5 miles wide so you can have a full day of running on the Lake if you really wanted and, there are also 4 other lakes that are connect to it.. The deepest I marked was I believe over 300 feet deep as well.
Below is another image I shot from the Outrage of my Father. The water on that Lake is breath takingly blue. I have a lot more images on my photobucket site of that day.
The other crazy thing that just came to mind was, that following day was the day I sold my 22 Outrage.
