I was curious if anyone has used a bow mount trolling motor for a 15' sport and how much power they used or think is needed. I can find plenty w/ 46 #'s of thrust in my price range but I don't want to make a mistake of using something w/ too little power.
I will use it on lakes as well as flats and bays. Any input would be appreciated.
Just brought home my first whaler tonight...83 15' super sport....looking to do the same. Have you gotten any responses?...Also, looking to install a pedestal seat in bow for bass fishing...anyone out there tried it yet?

I had a 46# with a 44" shaft on my 17 Montauk. I used it mainly for bass fishing and it was plenty.
