Low cost and ease of use make them very popular boats. I do not know if they are the most popular but should be most common. If you consider "popular" to be the hull most people would like to own - I would say a 17 Montauk or 22 Outrage are very high up the list. Rob 1973 Outrage/Lo-Pro Conversion
