my stern and bow lights do not work how do i test the connection, or the switch and if i need a replacement part such as the switch what is a good web site to by from. thank you all who reply.

I assume you have replaced the bulbs............Get a voltmeter and after removing the bulbs connect the + and - to the bulb socket and see if power is making it that far.....make sure the sockets have good clean connections....if corroded clean them and try again.......then move to the switch itself and do test points there.......also check and make sure the connection at the battery is clean and making good contact.

tom thank you for your answer. yes the bulbs are good i just removed it from service several months ago 3 from west marine they explained to me i needed the bulb replaced and that the switch may need replacement soon so im not sure how one knows this being that ive inspected the switch and there is no corrosion. however it appeared that it was not totally connected so i connected what i thought needed to be put back in its place. the lights worked for a test mode meaning i turned the 3 point switch (up bow off middle and down anchor) everything worked however know nothing workes. so im baffled. once again thank you for your reply. new whaler central memberand owner. also how do i know the amp amount off the switch.
