Ok, have a Commander Series RPM guage and nothing else works off of it. Have a flow meter, that has a 5 prong connecter connected to nothing (Male) and i can't find the female side of the equation. Taking it loose from the console, the only numbers that were legible, were (Bombardier # 775658). Talking to my nearest dealership, the part numbers for a 3 " were 0775819, and a 5 " 0775818, and the actual indicator in my boat measures 4 3/4 ". Go fig.
So, have looked on-line for a connection to get the installation instructions for my guage, and no luck. Any suggestions??!!

Dosen't the tach have a connection for the 5 prong to plug in to? On your tach, does it have the 3 check system lights that go through a seequence each time you turn on the ignition. Reason I am asking is that my wiring harness has multiple modules coming off of it for different devices.

Tom, there are two harnesses that are hooked up off the RPM gauge, and yes it gives off the squeel and has the warning sound for high temp hooked up. But, thats it. My GPH and any other readings were not re-connected after the motor swap. I unhooked everything, but had a dealer re-hook everything because of warrenty issues. Didn't want to not hook something up incorrectly and have my warrenty voided. So what i'm really looking for is any info on installation for the system i have. My warrenties up this Dec, so its not really an issue at this time who does it.

I doubt this will help, but look at the last photo on my personal page and look at my wiring. You may be able to gather something out of the nest I have there!

duf,
I am only guessing here as I do not own the Commander or I-Command series gauges.
Is there some kind of control box that is needed to hook up with the Commander series? I know there is for the I-Command series...

Here's a link to the owners manual for the Commander Series Tach, not sure if it's exactly the same as yours, but the wiring should hopefully be similar.
Commander Owners Manual
If yours is similar, the back of the tach has 2 modular connectors, one large that plugs in vertically at about the 2 o'clock position (looking at the gauge from the back), the other is smaller and plugs in horizontally at about the 4 o'clock position. It's the larger one that we're interested in and it should be a 6 wire capable connector.
If you unplug the large connector, point the end up, and look at it with the clip on the body facing you, the wires from left to right should be: 1) Fuel Transducer Power - red 2) Over Temp - tan 3) Fuel Transducer Signal - white 4) Fuel Tank Level - pink 5) Low Oil Sensor - tan/black 6) No Oil Sensor - tan/yellow
If you can trace the white wire back, it should lead to the connector that you're looking for. Hope this helps...

Dave, that was excellent and exactly what i needed to check my entire wiring routing out of the RPM guage! Can you point me in the right direction to obtain the same for my flow meter? That will give me almost all my guage information.
Tom, checked out your photo's and it didn't help my issue, but was some GREAT photo's of the job you did on your boat!
Joe, not that i know of and scanning through the manual Dave provided doesn't appear so.

Joe,
the control box was only needed for NME2000 network installs with the I-Command Classic gauges. You don't need it for the I-Command Digital gauges or the Commander series that Duf has.
Dave, good find on the manual, I gave up looking. Is there a thread on the side that has links to all the manuals?

Glad it helped Duf! I don't think I can be as specific with the flow meter if it's got a 5 pin connector on it and all wires go to the meter.
From what I can see the standard flow meter has 3 wires coming off it, one is White which is the signal wire and connects to the White wire from the tach. The remaining two wires are black, but there's a difference between the two. One black wire is the same kind as the white and is connected to the red lead from the tach (First wire in the connector pinout above - Transducer Power). The second black wire is different in that it looks to have a shielding on it and heat shrink tubing, it's called "Common Shield" and is the ground wire.
So take a closer look at the 5 pin connector you say comes from the fuel flow sender and see if you can make any more sense of the wires given that information. I'm wondering if maybe 3 of the wires on that connector are from the fuel flow and two are from a fuel tank level sensor? On that end of things it's less "modular" than it is on the tach connector end as the sensors are "add on" options and wired in individually.
No link Kamie, that was on a post that I'd bookmarked. But there is a section coming with all the manuals, etc, sometime at the begining of the year if I understand correctly...
