Montauk Cooler Cleats Needed

Guys,
I have read a few older posts about members that make cooler cleats out of mahogany etc to replace the original plastic ones. My front two are gone, yet my back two are still intact. Does anyone have a set lying around for sale? I could probably make my own but doubt they would have perfect radius etc.

The original ones were mahogany, not plastic.
There were only 2 pieces, not 4 like you mention. Starboard and Port only....
See the download section for the drawings for an 86 qt or the newer 94 qt cooler as you could make your own if you choose.

When he says 4 makes me think he has these.... which of course are not OEM....
If these are what you need Ed you can have the 4 shown in the picture - just PM me as I am restoring the boat and will go with wood.

My Montauk has the type that lay flat under the cooler. There are drawings of them on this site which I have posted here for you. These are the drawings of the 86qt Cooler and these are for the 94qt Cooler. I actually have a 70 something qt in mine but I am sure you can adapt these drawings to fit your needs. Mine are made of Marine Starboard material. I know a lot of guys have made theirs of teak or mahogany.

You are right Scott. The plastic is, as Joe said, not OEM. These plastic ones are a kit, made by Igloo.
Ed, if you want to use the four point system you have, buy them from West Marine or someone who carries the kit. (possibly Cabelas or Bass Pro) Most of us prefer wood for esthetic reasons, but the task is to hold the cooler still. Either method is effective.
The pattern in the download section makes it pretty easy to make your own if you have some basic power tools. Material choices are numerous as you have discovered. BW used mahogany. Many of us use it in restorations as well. It's a good, waterworthy wood, finishes nice, cuts easily and looks great with a variety of finishes. It also costs less than Teak. Do you want to try to make some yourself? Do you need help?

Many thanks everyone for the feedback. I do indeed have the plastic cleats that Scott has on the photo ( will PM you, thanks)
I may go wood at some point, but honestly my boat is all fiberglass so figure just replacing the existing broken plastic pieces will work best for now. This is the only hardware item that needs repair on the boat and my wife and cooler flew all over the past last weekend on some choppy water, which was not a fun ride for her at points
