I was surprised that my 1977 Outrage 21 didn't come with rod holders installed in the top of the gunnels. Do people add these? Were they options? Any concerns with adding two on each side?
How would you troll without them? Using rod holders mounted in a leaning post? Did the original RPS seat have rod holders? My RPS is long gone.
Also... On top of the starboard gunnel, closer to the stern are a pair of odd fittings mounted maybe 15" or so apart. Boat is not nearby, so I can't take a picture. But there are two chrome fittings of some sort, with little black plastic slider clip things (nautical terms) that go in-and-out. I have no idea what these would be for. Does this lame description ring a bell for anyone?
