I was given a 78 Montauk in need of repair. I am trying to restore it, I've never attempted anything like that. I need lots of parts. I want an ice chest/cushion seat. I'd like to know about mahogany parts, handrails, bow and stern lighting. I know that's alot, can anyone tell me how to begin? Thank you.
The front cooler was an Igloo 86 qt which has been replaced by the 94. The 94 is the same width and length, just a bit taller. Shop BoatersWorld, Cabella's, Bass pro etc for the best price.
The cooler cushion (and RPS seat cushion) is available in matching color, texture and piping from Halls Nautical. They also make the rod back cushions if your boat has these. Specialty Marine also caries them in regular white for a bit less money.
CMI Marine made the original rails and they can supply new ones.

Specialty Marine is also producing replacement rails as well.
The original bow and stern lights are no longer produced. Specialty Marine carries a version that is very close to original. Used lights also come up for sale on Ebay
