Hello,

I was looking for a picture of the cable linkage for the controls on a 1982 25 hp evinrude.......I have a 1969 13' whaler... I have been using the boat with tiller and i would like to start using the steering and controls........ My 25hp is capable of shift and throttle hook ups but i do not know what i need as far as cables and adapters ect.........Any one know what i need to hook it up?? or link to pict...or other site???? also is 8' the correct length for the cables???

Thanks...........But i am looking for the engine controls i have the modern tele-flex style for steering.......

So all you want is the engine control cables.
Do you have the engine controls?

I think mine are 8 feet long.

My cables are 8'. Usually cables and control run about $75 used to $200 new (from what I have seen). Email me for pics on how mine are attached.

Here are some pictures of the control ends and a picture of the shift and throttle box on my 13 footer. The cables are 8` I don`t know if its possible to buy new control ends from OMC any more. I have used these same controls on a restored `58 Evinrude 35 Lark, and also on a `99 Johnson 25, they will fit all 2 cylinder and other OMC motors in between those years. I have since installed an `08 Merc on the boat so my control box and cables are not being used. If you are interested, I can sell them to you for $125. the cables are one year old, the box and control ends are used. If interested I can take a picture of the entire unit. I am in Central Fl.
