I would like to install a stereo/cd player on my 1986 Outrage 18', but where should I locate the speakers?
I have looked at many other Outrages but can't find pictures showing speaker placement.
Maybe in the side of the hull panels close to the center console? Might not fit because of fuel filler hose. Also, these panels look weak and would possibly vibrate with the sound. I don't like putting them in the center console sides, because they would interfere with wiring and equipment inside the console.
Any suggestions out there?

I looked briefly in the West Marine catalog and I am now thinking about flat panel Box Speakers, only about 2" deep, mounted right behind the removeable side panels.
Need to research this more.
