I am looking to replace my spark plug wires on my newly acquired Guardian 17 with a 100hp Evinrude. Any suggestions? So far I have not had much luck finding a complete set.
Also, I am new to boating and would welcome any suggestions on these motors etc. The engine ran well when I sea trialed last week, but the one plug wire pulled off the boot when I took the engine cover off. Looks to be hung up on the clamp
The plug wire end (boot) should slide back on the wire and work. I would go to any BRP / OMC dealer and they should be able to get you a new set if they do not already have on in stock.
Yes it should slide back on and work. If a tight fit use rubbing alcohol as a lubricant. I know it sounds weird but alcohol makes rubber slippery (sounds like a T-Shirt from spring break). It work great for fuel line fittings as well.
