I need to repair my rope/pully cable on my older 13ft side console. How much do I need? 8 ft? Also, any links with repair help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I bought 25 ft. to be sure I had enough cable. It is very cheap. I can`t remember how much I had left, maybe 6-10 ft.

I just did mine and got about 25 feet also. It was more than enough but made respooling the drum and mounting the helm that much easier. There are two different lenghts that come off the drum - trying to calculate the proper lenghts can be a pain. By having the excess, you can just worry about the respooling (which is an adventure all in itself) and trim the extra away when your satisfied with the tension of the final hook-up.

Thanks guys,
I got 30 ft to be safe and I had a couple feet left over. Cable was cheap, about 8 bucks. Went pretty smooth after I got it turning in the right direction.
