I would like to have a spare prop for my 89 150 Yamaha. Currently the prop is SS stamped with 19P. 5k max revolutions at WOT. Ideally, the spare would be a different pitch/style to allow for performance experimentation. Boat is used for everything- fishing,cruising/water sports. The spare does not have to be SS. Not sure that any local dealers would lend a prop for trial - Lake Erie levels are low again this year.Any suggestions?
If you want a fast propeller try the Stiletto Advantage 4.75 in the 14-1/4" x 17" size. If you want a cheap light weight spare to carry onboard, buy an aluminum Stiletto Ariva 4.75 in the 14-1/4" x 17" size.
The Mercury Enertia in the 14-3/8" x 8" size would also be an excellent choice.
With the exception of the aluminum prop, these would become your primary and the prop you have now would become the spare.
