BW owners, Have heart! The boat in question was not a BW(MAKO). News was mistaken. If you go to the video, Rescuers properly ID'd the boat(BW owners will automatically see that the boat is not a Montauk.

Nice that it wasn't a BW that overturned, but take careful note, Whalers can and do capsize. They won't sink, but they will overturn in the right conditions and if destabilized (like, if they are full of water and hit broadside by a steep or breaking wave). This is important information for Whaler owners, because while you don't have to worry about sinking when the boat is full of water and all H*LL is breaking loose with weather or what not, your boat WILL be much less stable, and your skills as a captain and ability to maintain steerage and positive power is critically important at that point. Getting / keeping the water OUT of the boat is extremely important. For CC Whalers, setting a forward shelter during inclement weather goes a long way to keeping green/bluewater off the deck.
