A few months ago, I saw a picture on the site of a teriffic looking rear bench seat for a classic montauk. Can anyone provide me the link? (I can't find it)

Also, does anyone know where you can get one made?

see my personal page for the one I did from an old swim platform.

You could also PM NauticalLumber from this site if you want one built..

Was padded or wood?

Dan has just a plank of mahogany. Images

AtoZ has a modified swim platform. Images

And Rob has a OEM Anderson's Seat. Images

This is not my seat! Somewhere on Whaler Central is an article or member's page about this seat. I can't find the member but think everyone should see this great example of wood working.

I like the storage under the seat and may do something like this next year.

If anyone thinks that I shouldn't post these photos without knowing who the owner is please let me know and I'll delete them. Or if you know who this is please post it and I'll delete this.

I like the swim platform re-purpose. I found one for sale here locally, but the guy is asking too much for it. Waiting to see if he'll take a realistic offer.

Question: Is the center support really necessary?

Quick thanks to everyone. That was exactly what I was looking for. I actually love the mahogany as an alternative!
