I am mounting an RPS in my Outrage and all is going well until I went to get the screws that I thought I needed.
It appears that I need 2 1/4" screws and they are not available. Only 2" or 2 1/2".
here is how I figure it.
1" into the deck - I believe that I can not go more than 1" into the deck because of the gas tank below.
1" starboard riser
1/4 " foot of the Z Leg.
If someone knows where I can get 2 1/4" screws let me know. Already tried Jamestown, the local West Marine and 3 hardware stores.
If I can use 2 1/2" screws I would love to know that as well. If I pop the deck plate over the gas gauge off, it looks like their is well over an inch of foam on top of the tank. Plus the thickness of the deck, so it seems like an extra 1/4" would be fine but I wanted to make sure before I put 8 little holes in the gas tank.
thanks and Happy Memorial Day. I took the boat out into Charlestown Salt Pond yesterday. Very nice.

The base of the Z-leg is more than 1/4". The original installation screws were 1-1/2" so if you are using a 1" spacer, you want to use 2-1/2" long screws for this installation.
