It's all done....

I just brought back my Nauset from the marina. The new engine is installed, the gear is all on board, and its raining. I sat in her in the driveway as long as I could stand. Sad

The mechanic who installed everything told me it ran great. He got 48 mph on the speedo (I know those aren't very accurate) at 6000 rpm and said it planed out like a dream.

Just in case you hadn't read any of my other threads, I ended up with a merc 90hp 4stroke efi. It looks MASSIVE on the back. I laugh when I look at it. The power trim is a very nice upgrade.

We are going camping/boating this weekend, and I will take a bunch of pics to update my personal page.

Wish me luck!!!

If it would ever stop raining here on Long Island we would be able to start summer too.

I bought my Outrage 17 with a new 4 stroke 115. Comparing it to my Montauk's 90 2 stroke that was parked next to it....man that is one big engine..

You will get used to it. Smile

Congratulations.

I'll have to agree with Duf on the ETEC! Grin AS you have already found out I'm sure, motors are like cars..........some people wouldn't have anything but a ford and others wouldn't have anything but a Chevy.............Glad you got it in time for summer, so kick back and enjoy it...........Would like to see some pics too!
