Where do I find the weight of my 1967 17 foot Whaler? I intend to use 2 straps and 2 hoists in my garage to lift it high enough to repair and paint the bottom. I was going to ask 3 friends to help me flip it, but the wife dissuaded me because of possible back injury.
This is my first post and third visit to Whaler Central. Perhaps there is a link to Whaler specifications that I have not spotted. Does the manufacturer welcome inquiries like mine? If so, does anyone have a name and telephone number?
I recently purchased this Whaler and plan to rehab. There have been some great discussions in the forums by others doing the same. Many thanks to all who contribute. I am sucking all this invaluable info up like a sponge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Len,
Welcome to WC. On the left side of the screen you will see a link "Photo Galleries" and under that a link to "Whaler/Model Year specs" Since you don't have a model, just look at any of the 16 foot hulls to get a general idea of the weight, roughly 850 pounds.
Under the left side again, you will see "Members Information", if you look at members personal pages and locate Dan's you will see his repair of a 16 foot hull or follow this link to Dan's Personal Page
