I have a 13' Sport with shorter transom. Its suppose to take a short shaft but I just purchased a 20" Merc 1985 35 HP. Looking to see if anyone has ever installed a jack plate and did it work? Where did you purchase it? Did it work with the curved transom?
I'm in the "same boat" & i'm going to order one this week too. Does anyone have a picture of this t-h marine plate or the cmc vertical lift or similar on a 13' bw?? These seem to be the most cost effective & you can always take them off & fix holes. im doing the same thing with mine & would like to see how someone actually bolted it, shims, sealant? I realize some would say jackplates dont look good, mine we'll never be a perfect 10 & i just want to go & enjoy the boat. I bought it last year & i am soo tired of fixing things.
