I didn't know a screwdriver could be used to open a locking gas cap. Do all of the thieves know this? ie... is it a waste of money to invest in a locking gas cap?
As someone in the industry, I can tell you a well lit area will help you more than most anything. There are no REALISTIC security systems for this problem. Keep your boat in a well traveled area if possible (assuming you can't keep it in a locked secured garage). Also good old common sense, don't keep alot of gas in the tank. ....and yes, the guys stealing the gas know they can open a locked gas cap with a screw driver.
....and one last note, in case there is a question....I'm on the good side of the law, not the bad.
