Gracias
José Luis

CRUDE TRANSLATION BY TWC:

Sorry to not express this in English.

I have an Outrage 22 with two Evinrude 140HP VRO and one of the motors is able to maintain 3000 RPM for a few minutes before it begins to sound an alarm. I think it is a matter of lack of oil in the mixture. Is this possible? The propeller is not damaged and at low RPMs it behaves well. I observe oil in the entrance of the VRO for which I think could try it.

Thank you,
José Luis

José,

Can you tell us exactly how the alarm sounds? Does it sound continuously? Does it "beep" briefly once then stop or does it go "beep, beep, beep"?

How it sounds will tell us if the motor is overheating, running low on oil, no oil or a fuel restriction.

it is a continuous sound that disappears when extinguishing the motor, the temperature is normal. Thanks

Abe,

Here are the sounds the horn should make and what they indicate:

1. NO OIL - 1/2 second beep, 1/2 second off
2. LOW OIL - Momentary beep every 20 seconds
3. OVERHEAT - Continuous beep

Joe thanks do not indicate the clock a high temperature I examine the motors are their years old already, the reason to shake the motor saves of which I could treat? it excuses my translation by google, surely that is a disaster Smile

Joe,

The OMC system will also sound a continuous beep if there is a fuel restriction.

José,

Have you changed your fuel filters recently?

When the alarm sounds, is your primer bulb collapsed? Or is it firm when you squeeze it?

Do we have any bilingual members around here?

Joe I must verify the hardness of the bulb, the filters are new.

As for me I understand the translation well if you they create necessary I let use the taductor.

I also waited for algun bilingue but she does not worry.

Thanks for its attention
