I need a new set of plastic fittings for the lower legs on the back of the RPS on a 1997 17 Outrage II.

Can any one please direct me to where I might find some?

Thanks--Trey

Sorry if this sounds dense. What part exactly do you need? Photo would help a bit.

Don't have a photo, but the flip flop Back on the RPS has plastic fittings inserted into the legs of the Back that attack the Back to the RPS at the deck.

These fittings are made from a cheap plastic and have broken to pieces on the 97
17 Outrage that I just purchased. The Back can't be used without these pieces.

Thanks--Trey

Trey,

If Sue can't find what you need, try the original manufacturer.
On the bottom of your seat, you should have a tag if it is still there of course.
The original manufacturer was:
GG Schmitt & Sons, Lancaster PA. & Bradenton FL.

I picked up my baby today and remembered to take a look at the RPS legs, and specifically, the trunions that are made out of nylon on my boat (a 2000 Outrage 17). If you can't find any, perhaps you can find someone who can turn up a set on a lathe. It's basically just a cylindrical billet of nylon with a slot cut into the end to fit the ear on the frame. A hole perpendicualr to the slot allows the trunion to be fastened to the ear with a stainless bolt and nylock nut. It would not be a difficult part to make, and could probably be much improved by making it out of aluminum (6000 series), or better yet, 316 (or better) stainless steel. Mine are white nylon and are in fine shape.
