I jsut bought a 23 foot Boston Whaler Outrage and I have a question about dock line for the boat. I was wondering if the 8 in cleats on this 23 foot outrage can handle 1/2 dock line. For the spring line cleat I need to attach two lines from the dock. I was wondering if the cleat can handle the 1/2 dock line or if I should just use 3/8 inch dock line. I will be docking the boat on a bulkhead so I planned on using four docklines. One from the cleat on the bulkhead to the bow, one from the stearn, and then another line from each cleat on the dock to the spring line cleat on the boat. I am trying to figure out if I should use 3/8 diameter line or use 1/2 line. I appreciate anyones help on the subject. Thanks!
