I have my outrage completely apart for inside and outside painting. I'm cleaning all teak and railings and putting on new bow lights and hardware . The only rail I can't get the fitting off is the grab rail over the windshield where the curved rail meets in front of the console. It's pretty pitted and beat up so it's has to be replaced. Does anyone out there have a solution?

Joe,
To get that Tee off, you will have to slide it to the side and cut the rail in the middle.
When you get a new Tee from CMI (DO NOT use an off-the-shelf Tee) ask Fred to sell you what is called a "hot dog" which is a 4" length of 3/4" stainless tubing. You will insert this into the rail at the cut and it will create a spline that will make the rail strong again.
You will drill and tap the set screws into this "hot dog" and it will tie everything together and nobody will be the wiser.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The thought of having the whole boat looking new except for that one fitting was keeping me up nights.

Joe King,
There are links on this site to most of the suppliers.
Look on the left sidebar.
The suppliers with Web Pages will be listed under "Vendors Web Links:
http://www.whalercentral.com/weblinks...blinks.php
The Suppliers that do not have a Web Page are listed under Web-Less Suppliers:
http://www.whalercentral.com/viewpage...page_id=33
We strive to have links to all the suppliers of Boston Whaler items that we know of.
If anyone has any links to suppliers that aren't listed here, please let us know.
That also includes Boston Whaler Dealers. Look under "Boat Dealers" on the left sidebar.
You will see a long list of Dealers by State.

Thanks again for all the useful info. Just so you folks know, CMI has moved to 55 Woodrock road Weymouth Mass. 02181. Their email is not on line anymore either. Fred's cell phone is still the same.
