Well, after a month of ownership, and a lot of cleanup, I took my Montauk out yesterday for my first voyage since buying her. It helps that we've gotten enough rain to open the local ramps back up too.
My sons 9 and 7 were with me. It was sunny and 65 degrees, there was a nice breeze and just a few boats out on the water. The old Johnson ran beautifully - that V4 makes sweet music when opened up. We blasted around just for an hour or so, got up to 41.6 mph for big grins, helped a sailboat with a tow, and had to get back home for Easter festivities.
I love this boat.
