I have a 76 15 whaler that i want to replace bench seats. The boat is put away for the winter, so im unable to determine the thickness of the seats. I want to buy some new maghomany and have it finished for spring. Does anyone know the thickness of the wood?.
Thanks
GARY
on my '76 15' sport the mahogany bench seat measures 7/8" in thickness... I stopped at a specialty lumber yard by my house a few yrs ago when I replaced my cracked seat, and gave the guy the demensions of the wood to cut. He cut the wood, and handed it to me while saying "Boston Whaler right", I asked how did you know, he said "I'll be cutting these demensions all summer".
