I have a 2001 Sport 130 that I just bought and the prop is bad. It has a 40 HP Mercury 2 cycle 2001 model.
I question whether the prop is the one that came with the boat originally. It is a 10-3/8" x 14. Anybody have experience with whether this seems to be a decent choice for this boat for all around use?
I have a prop that came off of a Mercury 40hp. Someone had put it on my Yamaha 40 and called it good. I ended up putting a SS prop on mine, it is a 13 spline 11 1/4 X 15 degree pitch. Now my 13" Whaler scoots like a rocket accross the lake. The Merc prop was only about 9 1/2 diameter which is much smaller than what I have on it now.
