Anyone know where I can get/purchase the vinyl/rubber tubing that covers about 9" of the swing bar on a leaning post. This bar swings up and down over the cooler. It attaches to the leaning post legs and near the attaching bolts there is about 9" of tubing covering the bar, on each side, to protect the bar from the lower support bar. I just had the leaning post aluminum powder coated and the vinyl tubing looks really bad.

Gary -

Sorry, I am not able to visualize what you are referring to. Any way to post or link to a photo?

Do you know the brand of leaning post? The manufacturer may be able to provide it.

A very similar if not exact leaning post is pictured in the Photo Gallaries, Photo Albums>Boston Whaler OEM Parts>Leaning Post. If you look at the metal bracket facing the stern there is white vinyl/rubber tubing protecting the upper bar from the lower bar. It is even with the stern leg of the leaning post. I would take pictures of mine but it's in parts awaiting this tubing.

Ahh....now I see what it is.

How about using some large diameter (but pliable) hose, cut for length and width. Use some strong tape for the seam?

Sorry not to be more help.

Thanks for your reply. It's hard to find hose with a thin wall. This bar is meant to go up and down and all of the hose I found that is greater than 1.25" ID has to thick of a wall and will not fit between the fixed bar and the movable bar.
