Hi Guys (and girls),
just joined and thought I would say hi. I just bought a 1970 13 sport/Johnson 35hp PROOOOOJECT for the kids and have spent the last two days reading lots of great threads with tons of helpful info here. Great Site!!!

I hope you folks don't mind a few dumb questions here and there; I am pretty familiar with tunnel/race boats, but it has been 20 year since I have been around a whaler and sure could use some wisdom.

thanks and hello,

fish

thank you for the welcome scott, I really appreciate it. Believe me, the questions will come, but hopefully I can help out other members here in one way or another too.

Welcome to WhalerCentral fish.

There are no dumb questions so ask away. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here that can help you with almost anything.

Looks like all you need from looking at the photos to get you started is a couple of wood bench seats and anchor locker. There are drawings available in the downloads section for the wood bench seats. The main thing is you have the console and the engine rigging already in place.

Good Luck with your project and keep us up to date.

Welcome to the community.

I would like to echo Joe's sentiment- there are no dumb questions. You might try a search before you ask, but if you don't, it's no big deal, some one here will chime in.

Nice looking 13. I know you will have fun with it.

Doug

thanks for the welcome Joe and Doug, I appreciate it. She looks a bit better in the pics than in person, but after reading some of the threads and seeing some of the restorations going on I know there is a lot of info that can help make it a little easier.

Thanks for the welcome to this great site,

fish
