At the back of older 16/17 hulls both smirked and nonsmirked there is a tub where the engine mounts. just a thought, does bw expect this to be used as a livewell? when you are out in the ocean any water that is in there will just slosh out, so what is this?
It's just a splash well so those little bits of spray don't end up on the deck. Once underway I usually take the plug out so the water will drain. ADDITIONALLY I use it for a convenient place to put tools and parts when working back there (on land of course). Since those senior moments seem to be getting a little more frequent it makes it easier to find that screw driver (which I've usually got in my hand).
