1991 Outrage I. Inside the console there are brackets, two clam shell pieces on the port side a larger clam shell piece on the strarboard side and a threaded knob on the port side, attach to the console base. It looks like something was held down inside the clam shells. What was it?
Thank you both for your reply. I removed the pieces from inside the base of the console and tossed them into a bucket. Then I posted my question. Thank you CBO because you asked for a picture. So I layed out the pieces for a picture and low and behold it's a anchor chock. Actually, it's a Perko Anchor Chock selling in West Marine for about $96.00. I have better use of the space inside the console, so the anchor chock is back in the bucket. Thanks again Whaler friends for your comments.
CBO, currently the Whaler is naked, dirty, scuffed up a little, and not wanting her picture taken. By the end of March she will be refit with some awesome power, new controls, gauges, electronics, dressed with her new T-Top, windshield, console cover, leaning post recovered and gel coated in a few spots. She will be a hot looking 37 yr old lady ready for a few pictures. Over many years of boating and fishing I have owned many Whalers and unhappy to say sold them. At one time I owned four Whalers at the same time. I am NOT A FLIPPER. I just love Whalers and each one handles quite differently. This special lady will remain in my family along with her big sister a 260 Outrage and be passed on to my five year old grandson, my best fishing buddy, when he is of age.
