Then this does not have anything to do with Boston Whaler boats basically. This has to do with your engine and the manufacturer of that engine... Boston Whaler didn't sell engines on their boats back then. The dealers put the brand of engine on that the customer wanted. Now...... What brand of engine do you have? What brand of switch if it is not original to the engine..... Aftermarket? You would need to know those things and then contact Yamaha, BRP, Mercury, or whatever engine you have.....
