I saw that boat earlier today.

Wow! That has to be one wild ride for an old girl.

I saw that boat for sale in MI a few years ago with the original 1989 Mercury 150's on her. That is the perfect upgrade for a Temptation! It does not get any better than that.

Im sure you all saw the video of the Red Mischief on that thread going 60MPH with a Merc 115 Tower on it --- I had to double check to see if Bob completed it and didn't tell me... GrinGrin

Looks like an attempt to turn a Whaler into something it isn`t, a "go fast boat".

Well, the temptation was whalers attempt at aiming for this market, just not this extreme. Here is another thread about it... so far 68mph, and lost a hub.
Plenty of porpoise after 55mph. maybe it needs some performance tabs.

I've been on a boat once that went well over 75 MPH, and friends, that was too fast for this boy. Nose just seemed to want to trade places with the stern, and of course, i wasn't driving which added to the concern.............. Nope, i hang in the 50's with about 2000 lbs wrapped around me! Pfft

Nope not mine, but pretty cool and I see no sign of the dreaded "chinewalk" that every 15 owner out there says happens above 45 mph. I think I'm going to sell the 90 and drop a V6 Merc on mine for summer. If that was Whalers attempt at a sport cruiser, I think they got it pretty darn close. This owner just kicked it up a notch or two (or a dozen lol) Wink

I had a friend email me a bunch of photos from the owner last night. The boat looks great and truly was refit with out a budget. It was done right. Some might not like the temptations but I always have.

I bet that thing SCREAMS in traditional merc fashion! I have to admit the sounds any merc I have ever heard produce warms my heart. That is why I love running the twin XR6's on the guardian. Looking around you tube I found one video of twin Opti 300XS's running and it sounds like an entire squadron of WWII war planes.
