I am restoring a 17 montauk and was looking for info on the original paint colors for the inside and hull. I also was intressted in the pate tanks and can,t find a number for them, I found an article recently but didn't give contact info. I think they are still in business. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Whalers were never painted there were gelcoated. Some of the early hulls from the 70's were I believe Desert Tan on the interior and the exterior was Light Grey and the rest of the years up to the early 90's the hulls were Desert Tan inside and out. Both Spectrum and Mini Craft sell color matched gelcoat.
