Sounds like a spin off of Woody Wax. Which is also not a wax. I use Woody Wax on my 260 Outrage T-Top. It works fantastic. I tried Woody Wax on my non slip deck and it made it very slippery. I applied it to an area on the hull and it did not last as long as Collinite Wax, which is my 1st choice in wax.
I have used Newglass II for several years on the hullsides of a 22 foot sailboat.
The boat is stored in a wet slip in TX.
The product is applied with a soft cloth. Goes on over very clean fiberglass. Will have some "brush marks". There may be a better way to apply it .
Think of this product as a fast setting acrylic floor wax; smells exactly like it.
Will last 1 to 2 years on the hull sides in a slip in TX.
Probably should be recoated before it begins to come off.
Removal is said to be with a "remover" or degreaser. I have never found the remover and so used degreaser. That is a messy job and then you have to wash off the degreaser.
I will use it again because it seals the gel coat without the periodical polish and wax necessary when left in the water and sun: or when neglected, the oxidation, compound and wax process which is so common. "How can I restore the color/shine to my boat? You may not be able to do this."
There may be better products.

I have had the best luck with StarBrite Premium Marine Polish with PTEF. With one application the hull looked amazing, I did a second coat just for fun. I found using a powered buffer / polisher to remove the polish will leave the best finish. I just to detail cars for a summer job as a kid and have never had any of my car products leave as nice of a finish on a boat as this product.
Now remember there is a difference between a wax and polish. Waxes are mean to replenish oils into the surface finish and protect the finish. A polish is used over a wax to get the super glossy wet look.
