I'm going to build a teak bench seat that will sit on the lip and need that distance for lumber calculations. Does anyone know the approx. measurment lip to lip? Thanks!

I walked out back with a tape measure and camera to get this for you but forgot I towed my boat to the house LAST night to work on filling some holes in the center console. They tend to have a lot of miscellaneous parts and pieces laying around and I was looking for some scrap teak. In the corner they had beat-up swim platform that must have spent the last 10 years outside in the bone yard, 70x18x1 inches. Brought it home and ran it through a planner to smooth the surface. The teak is spectacular. I’ll cut it down for a rear bench seat on my Montauk. Cost me $100…

I took the measurement between the sides about 3-4 inches in front of the the splash well. This would put your seat in the area right above the rear hull hatch.
