I've found a really good small, ultra smooth roller for roll and tip boat painting. I got very glassy results even on vertical sides (using Interlux poly). The product is Whizz Premium Velour Kitchen & Bath Roller. It's a 4-inch roll with a 13-inch handle and extra rolls come in 2-packs. The product IDs are 91600 (handle) and 91012 (2-pack rollers).
Never tried that one. I`ve had very good luck using a dense foam bullnose roller, made for rolling cabinets. It comes in 4 and 6 inch lengths. The bullnose ends eliminate roller marks, and the dense foam give a spray like finish. Tipping with a brush isn1t necessary. Available at Home Depot.
