Im leaning toward purchasing a Minn Kota Endura 55 Transom-Mount for my 13-footer. I am going to put it on the bow.

I plan on making a mount point for it on the bow using a stainless steel angle bracket and a piece of teak.

Is the 55 pound thrust and a 42 inch shaft overkill? I want it to be able to handle choppy water. The 36 inch shaft doesn't seem long enough.

Does anyone have pictures of their 13-footer with a bow mount trolling motor? I would love to see how you did it. I used the search engine, but couldn't find any pictures.

Thanks
