Has anyone added a cushion back to the factory stock leaning post. I was wondering if the rod holder (rocket launchers) could be used to support tubular aluminum which could be attached to a custom made seat back for the leaning post.

Ideally a leaning post with an adjustable seat back and a flip up bolster seat would be great for the awesome 190 Outrages

Most of the time while at the helm I will be standing but for the minimum wake zone area's it would be nice to sit, relax and rest.

I wonder if someone with an older 18 Dauntless with the seat back option. Could measure the posts on theirs and let you know if that would work?

I haven't tried one. But here is a pic I found:

The general idea seems sound. I'm not sure what kind of pressure the rod holder inserts can withstand.

I don't know anything about them, but TODD sells a backrest that fits into their leaning post. Perhaps it is the same spacing. www.toddusa.com

Has anyone replaced their leaning post with pedestal seats on the 190 Outrage?

Just looking for something that would provide some back support while trying to sit on the leaning post while anchored or underway in calm waters
