Leaning post on a 190 Outrage

I was wondering if the rod holder (rocket launchers) could be used to support tubular aluminum which could be attached to a custom made seat back for the leaning post. Just looking for something that would provide some back support while trying to sit on the leaning post while anchored or underway in calm waters
