I've had numerous requests to produce a scale model engine for my model Montauks. I'd be happy to do so, but I need the help of someone who has access to a vintage motor and can take measurements for me. I don't have a strong preference for brand, but I'd like to stick with what was popular in the mid 80's, namely Mercury or Evenrude. I may end up doing both if I can get help. Anyway, here is what I need:
Someone with a mid 1980's vintage Mercury or Evenrude 90hp outboard who can fill out the dimensions on a sketch that I will provide from photographs that you will send me. Then I may need a few follow-up measurements (it always happens once I begin modelling) to help me to make the mold. For this you will be compensated with a free copy of the completed Engine model, and a deep discount on the purchase of a copy of my Montauk model.
