Hello,
I have found out that my 13 is from the mid sixties. I have a couple of questions. Was it common to have metal brackets on the corners of the transom??
My transom has been sandwiched at the corners with two brackets that are thru bolted. Is this a factory thing or custom???
Any advise would be great.
Thank You
Well I took off the "brackets", and it was a speed limit sigh, 35mpg. I am going to rebuild the transom. Afetr some hard work, I found out its a 1960!!! Any ideas on a transom rebuild???
Thanks
No pics necessary, I have done 3 refits, and I assure you this is trash. I will be using Nida-Bond, to fill transom. I have had very positive results in the past. I will gut the transom of foam, and wood, and replace with the fill. will keep you posted!
