I just repowered my 110 sport that had a Mercury 25 hp Big Foot 4 stroke with a new Suzuki 30hp 4 stroke. The Suzuki is 20 pounds lighter and I was hoping the 5 extra horsepower would help with performance. The Suzuki came with a 10.25 x 12" prop. Getting the boat on a plane is difficult. Any opinions regarding the prop size (and 3 vs 4 blades) for this heavy tender that weighs 460 pounds + 158 pound motor, + gas, + battery and a 190 pound driver?
