I’m very frustrated and have spent $800 on this issue and no resolution. My motor runs beautifully, when it runs. It started stalling out and I would pump the ball and it would start running again sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes less than that. I replaced the ball, the filters and even my tank. It was a 1982 that came with the boat. I thought it may be delaminating inside. I took it in after all that didn’t work. They said I had water in the fuel and motor and cleaned it all out. I never put anything but ethanol free in it and the tanks were new. I was skeptical but paid and left. My first outing I started it up and it kept dying out. After 20 minutes, it stayed running so we left. 20 minutes later I had to keep pumping the ball to keep it running until it died again? I pumped the ball but could feel no fuel. I took the line to the tank off the ball and released the air. I pumped it until fuel came out and then put it back on the ball. The boat would run strong for a minute and then I would have to pump the ball to keep it going. Two times I had to repeat the process of taking it off to get fuel flowing. I got home but am frustrated. It does not feel like water in the fuel. Has to be some type of air problem. I’m not a mechanic but need some guidance on this. The motor is well maintained and has 100 hours on it.

I see you replaced the fuel bulb but did you replace ALL fuel lines?
Also, is the bulb an original factory replacement for your engine? Or is it an aftermarket bulb?

If you have to prime the fuel line you have either air in the line or your fuel lift pump is failing.
Replace the fuel line AND the connectors (use OEM brands not 3rd party) with A-1 type marine fuel hose that is black and stamped alcohol resistant.
You can buy the line and fittings individually and make up the line yourself.
Make sure your water separator filter has a gasket that has a sheen of oil on it and is tight.
Make sure the water separator port fittings have yellow teflon tape on them and are tight.
What is the make, model and year of the engine.
Post photos of the tank, hoses, fittings and engine connection.

Bulb is not OEM but I took it to an authorized Suzuki dealer. They put on the new bulb.
The dealer replaced the fuel ines when I repowered. It ran beautifully for 96 hours then the issues started.

I will get pics tomorrow when I return to town. Motor is a 2021 Suzuki DA90. Definitely a black marine hose fuel line.
Appreciate all the help.

If the engine is new, it is either fuel (bad load in the underground tank), bad tank on the boat or any of the items from the tank to the engine.
Process of elimination.

Many dealers just replace the engine and do not touch the fuel lines/filters/tanks.
Penny wise, pound foolish.
